| Dr. Terry Lee Cookson received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) degress from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. NCNM is the oldest accredited college of naturopathic medicine in North America. In addition to the four-year naturopathic program and the three-year course of study in classical Chinese medicine, Dr. Cookson also studied homeopathy for two years with Dr. Luc DeSchepper and enjoyed a two-month internship at the Shree Mumbadevi Homoeopathic Hospital in Mumbai (Bombay), India. Dr. Cookson is a member of the Maine Association of Naturopathic Doctors (MAND), the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), the Maine Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAAOM), and the Flower Essence Society (FES). She is a nationally certified Diplomate in Acupuncture and Diplomate in Chinese Herbology, and holds licenses in Maine as a Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist. Terry is a Maine native, born in Waterville and a graduate of Mt. View High School in Thorndike. Terry received her BA with Honors in Russian Language and Literature from Michigan State University. After living in all parts of the country, Terry is pleased to be back in Maine where she enjoys kayaking, cross-country skiing, camping and hiking, as well as refereeing high school field hockey. |
